The Fair!

We look forward to going to the Fair every year.  It was a little warm this year so it didn't quite feel like Fair weather.  Of course we got a cold front the next day!  We went right after school and stayed several hours.  The kids had a great time but were bummed that we didn't ride any rides.  Maybe next year we'll have to cave and let them ride a few things.  I think Fair rides are not very stable!

Ethan was bummed with this section.  Last year there were battery powered power-wheels to drive around.  This year it was old cars that you pedal...and poor Ethan didn't really fit in it.
Caleb enjoyed it.  He has a car like that at my parent's house.

Ethan enjoyed pitching and seeing how fast he did it.  We had to drag him away from there.

Signing a wall.

They always want nasty pizza when there is yummy Fair food.

Petting Elsie the cow.

There was a section about healthy eating.  Ethan really enjoyed it.  He felt like he was at school.

Mmmm...my favorite thing at the Fair.  Tornado Tators!!

He was cranky because he was "so hot" and didn't have a drink.  Mondo was in line to get one.  Little booger.
Running to see Big Tex!  They asked to see him from the moment we got there. He is the highlight of their trip to the Fair.

Little did we know that this would be the last time they gave the original Big Tex a high five.  :-(

We were so, so sad to see Big Tex up in flames just days after we were at the Fair.  We were wimps and didn't tell the kids.

Being a big kid and ordering some onion straws all by himself.

Don't get between Caleb and his Sprite!

Another favorite for the kids...the cars!

Our next family dream car.  No, seriously!  Mondo was so bummed that this one was locked so we couldn't get in.

Random dancing.

I'd love one of these swing chairs.  If I had several thousands of dollars laying around.

We bought the kids these machine guns.  They thought they were the best guns ever!

We branched out and tried something new:  fried biscuits and gravy.  Sounded good, but totally wasn't.  We took a bite then threw it away.  Instead we ate a corny dog, tornado tators, onion straws, fried oreos, and some more stuff that I can't remember.  Did I mention we mainly go to the Fair to eat?  :-)

Hilari's Wedding

My cousin Hilari got married in October.  Ethan and her have always had a special bond.  He was so excited to get to be the ring bearer!  He acted so cool and suave all day because he was a professional ring bearer...since he's done it once before.  ;-)  The wedding was beautiful.  She had it at Aristide in Mansfield.

The groom, Nick.
Love this.
Instead of holding a pillow with the rings, he held a sign that said "last chance to run" so Nick could see it as Ethan walked down the aisle.  It was pretty funny.

He was so cute with the flower girl!  Her parents told me that she had a little freak out right before the wedding and Ethan calmed her down.  You know, because he is a professional.  ;-)
Our family.  Minus Mondo, Caleb and I.  We were inside.  We spent most of the time trying to keep up with Caleb.

The only picture of us.

What is this pic you ask? The dinner served wasn't anything that he would eat (although it was super yummy!) so Mondo took him next door to Chick fil a.  It was also to get him away for a little while.  :-)

It was a beautiful, sweet wedding. I wish many years of happiness to you Hilari and Nick!

Seattle - Part 3 (Chihuly)

Our last big sight seeing trip was to the Chihuly glass exhibit.  I made my sister proud.  ;-)  It was AMAZING!! To see the sculptures this guy can make out of glass was mind blowing.  Mondo and I really enjoyed soaking it all in.

This part of the exhibit was in the ceiling!

Hanging from the ceiling.

Love this picture that Mondo took with his phone.  Very artsy.  ;-)

Complementary picture at the end of the exhibit.
