Christmas Day

Toys from Santa, Mommy and Daddy.

Caleb was so excited to get the Octopod!  Santa had to search overseas to find that one!
Ethan asked Santa for a remote controlled helicopter.

Daddy made a yummy Christmas breakfast!
Presents from Nana and Papa!
What's this??  Two more presents from Mommy and Daddy!

And of course the weather was dreadful for playing on outside toys.  :-(  But......

.....it turned into snow!!  Notice our fence falling down in the background. :-(

That night we celebrated Christmas with Mondo's family at our house.

And it was also Uncle Abel's birthday!

The next morning there was still some snow on the ground so we had to play before it melted.  This picture is from our neighbor's across the street.

We made a "Chemsearch" snow man in our yard.  (That's the company Mondo works for.)
After all the snow play it was time for some Starbucks!

And a little ice skating in the back of Papa's truck.

Christmas Eve

This year Christmas Eve was different from every previous year.  We usually have the big celebration at my parent's house but my dad was still recovering from his 4th major back surgery so we had to find another location.  My cousin offered to have it at her house which worked out perfect.  It was nice and roomy and everyone was still able to be together, minus my parents.  :-(

Me and the hubs.

The kids stayed in the upstairs playroom the entire day...which was kind of nice.  Adults downstairs, kids upstairs.

The critters feasting.

This was also the first year that we only did presents for the kids.  I think it was a good idea...and so did the kids.

Ethan and his cousin Grant had a little dance-a-thon before we left.  So Funny!!

Another change this year was that we didn't spend the night at my parent's house.  We stayed home and Santa came to visit there.  Initally the kids were a little sad but it was kind of nice to have just our little family together on Christmas Eve.  We went out in the front yard to sprinkle the reindeer food so Santa could find us!

Caleb just had to taste it.  Oats and glitter.  Yuck.

Before bed the set out cookies and chocolate milk for Santa!

School Christmas Activities

Caleb had a cute little Christmas program.  They only sang two songs.

Caleb's class.

I am a room mom for Ethan's class so I get to help out with parties.  For their Christmas party they had pizza and cupcakes then they travelled to different classrooms for games.

I was in charge of the "snowball race".  The kids raced arund the room with a cotton ball on a spoon.  They had lots of fun doing that.
This was the sing a long.  The ENTIRE school squeezes into the cafeteria and each grade takes turns singing.  And they get to wear their pj's. :-)

At the end, the teachers sang a song.  The kids got a kick out of it.

Caleb got bored pretty quick.  And he didn't like how loud it was.  He can create noise but he doesn't like to be in the middle of it.
