Lots of Updates

Congrats to Abel for graduating from ITT Tech!!!

Loving some mashed potatoes.

Baby Caleb at 29 weeks. That's his arm against his face.

Sleepy baby Caleb.

Well, I'll start with my 3D sono. Sorry for the bad quality...I took pictures of the pictures with my camera. The session started well until Mr. Caleb got tired of having his picture taken. He kept playing with his umbilical cord (which I thought was dangerously close to his neck!) and he was moving a lot which caused some pics to be blurry so she couldn't use them. About 15 minutes into it, he was fed up and arched his neck back then flipped over to where you could only see his back and the back of his head. She had me roll on my side but he wouldn't flip back. Hmmm, sounds stubborn like his dad. I thought the pics turned out pretty good but the sono lady said I could stop by next week after my appointment and she'd try again for some more face shots! I'll be 30 weeks then.

As for my little Ethan, he is sick with strep throat, an ear infection, and a sinus infection. I love preschool! He is on Amoxicillin and Ibuprofin around the clock. His temp has been 101 to 103 all week. Poor guy. He's actually not complaining too much. Just a little slower and more tired than usual. He loves the new car. There's a button right beside the sliding door that closes the door when you push it. He saw me do it once and now he's obsessed with it. He's alway saying "Ethan push the button!" Or his other famous saying for everything "I do it." He's definitely a 2 year old!

New Toy

This is a quick note to say that I got a new car! We finally parted ways with the Corrolla last week (ahh, let's all shed a tear). We went car shopping on Saturday and ended up with this beauty, a 2007 Toyota Sienna. I never thought I'd see the day that Mondo was in a mini van! He actually likes it because there are so many great features for having small children. So, I'm ready to be made fun of by my friends for getting a minivan....bring it on!

27 Week Dr. Appointment

Today I had my regular 4 week check up and my gestational diabetes test. The test is a no news is good news thing so hopefully you won't hear any more about it. I thought I was going to throw up a few times while waiting my hour but I held it in because I didn't want to have to repeat it! I asked the Dr about my cramping/contractions and she said it was all normal as long as I couldn't time them and as long as I'm not spotting or leaking. That's what I've heard from everyone I've asked but I wanted to hear it from her. She said to stay hydrated and take it easy (ya, right!). I now start my 2 week appointments. I didn't realize that would be so soon! I also will get my Rhogam shot next time (since I'm O negative). I scheduled my 3D sono for next Wednesday so that gives me something to look forward to. I haven't seen the little guy since 20 weeks!

Preschool Update

Just dressed up to go to Garden Ridge.

He's getting too big!

I was trying to hold him out from taking a nap and he passed out on
the couch!

Ethan is still doing well in preschool. He actually took a nap both days! One was for an hour and one was for 30 minutes. Tuesday was his first full day of school. When I picked him up he was sitting in time out! I asked him why he was in time out and he put his finger up to his mouth and said, "Shhh, I'm in time out." It was hard not to laugh. Turns out he was chasing a little girl and trying to take away her stuffed Nemo toy. On Thursday Mondo took him to school. Mondo asked him if he wanted to go to school and he said yes and got all excited. Then a few minutes later he said, "Nevermind Daddy, no school, stay home on couch." Pretty funny. He was ok once he got there. As far as the pregnancy goes, it's same old same old. A few contractions here and there and more nasty veins popping up every day. I go to the doctor on Monday for a check up and for my gestational diabetes test. Yuck. Until then.........

First Day of School

Today was Ethan's first day of preschool. It went pretty well. Of course I was more traumatized than he was. He waked right in and started playing. He didn't cry until he realized we weren't staying with him. He ran to Mondo and threw his arms around his neck and wouldn't let go. We had to peel him off to leave. He cried for about 15 seconds after we left then he was over it. When I picked him up to go home he ran to me and gave me a big hug. That was nice. In the car I asked him what he did at school. He said, "I shared, played with the ball, played toys, and ate bologna, grapes, and chips." Not all in one sentence of course. He also said he had cookies but I don't know where they came from since I didn't pack him any! Next week will be the true test when he goes the full day and has to take a nap. Today was from 9-12 and next week with start the 9-2 schedule. I'm looking forward to having a little me time but the house is so empty with him gone!

25 Weeks

Well, as you can see I've made it to 25 weeks...and I cut my hair off...and I dyed it black. Ok, technically it's not black. It's dark brown but it looks pretty darn close to black. I was tired of the red tint so I was trying to go a little darker. Oh well, it will fade soon enough. As for the pregnancy, I'm doing ok. I'm still having some cramping off and on. Mainly when I'm up doing something. I put myself on "chair rest" at work. I'm really trying to give myself the easier assignment and sit down as much as possible. My vericose veins are getting worse. You may be able to see some bulges on the back of my legs in the picture. They hurt and pulse every time I stand. I'm trying to wear the compression hose as much as possible...ok...I'm still not wearing them as much as I should. Sorry Meg! I've also decided maybe God is telling me that two children is all my body can do. I know I don't have anything horribly wrong with my body like some women do, but I'm feeling pretty old for only being 28! I'm just hoping some of these veins go away after Caleb gets here!
