FWC Rodeo

I got to experience the FWC Rodeo for the first time this year! It is part of the PE program at the kid's school. The elementary students work on it for several weeks to prepare for the big event. Caleb was so excited! It was pretty imaginative and lots of fun to watch!

The elementary gym was decked out in a western theme.

The classes sat in groups along the walls.

Each grade put on a "show" as a class. I think this was 5th grade.

One of the things they did was ride a stick horse across the gym and around a barrel.

This is the 3rd grade class. They did a line dance to a country song. It was long and impressive!

This relay was carrying a plate of BBQ around the gym. (It was a rubber pig. Ha!)

This relay scared this momma. One person sat on the roller while the other person pushed them across the gym. They they had to switch who sat and who pushed and go back across the gym. I was so worried about their little fingers getting smashed! There were a few wipeouts but thankfully no injuries.

I'm blessed to be able to attend school events!

Caleb's class. Great group of kids! :-)

Ethan's 12th Birthday

The years are just flying by. I can't believe my first born is already 12! That's just one year away from being a scary teenager! *sigh*
We had a birthday lunch for the Dec/Jan/Feb birthdays. Here's my dad with my nieces Hailey and Morgan and of course Ethan.
Ethan was SO EXCITED to get his camel back backpack! He's been asking for one for years! A little birdy told Nana and Papa what he wanted.

The night of his birthday we went out to dinner.

He chose Pluckers! Can't complain about that!

He loves boneless BBQ wings!

They made him act like a bird and flap around while they sang him happy birthday. Pretty funny! He had 2 paper cups on his mouth and flapped menus in his hands.

Delicious dessert!

He wasn't thrilled to share it with his brother. ;-) The cleaned the bowl!

Reason #452 why I make my kid's bday cakes...he wanted a SnapChat cake. Not exactly something you can just run out and pick up!

The lighting was super dark but...he always wants to go to Top Golf for his bday. We love that place!

He brought his buddy Colton and his "girlfriend" Kayleigh.

Friends since the womb and only 3 weeks apart in age!

We played a few hours of golf games, had some food and cake, then played a little pool before heading home.

Happy birthday Ethan! You make me laugh every day and inspire me with your infectious "never met a stranger" attitude. You will do big things in your life. Who knows, maybe you'll be the next Jordan Speith! We love you! :-)

We like to squeeze in family golf days whenever we can!

Pajama day at school

Date night!

Hanging out at a kid's birthday party with Caleb.

Ethan got a ChiaPet for Christmas from my sister. He immediately wanted to get started. It didn't take long to start growing! He named him Fred. ;-)

Having a work day at my parent's house unloading wood. Have to earn our keep while we're living there!

Hanging out in Easter Land.

Another family golf day!

We attended the Peter Pan musical at Fort Worth Christian. It was pretty cute!

Caleb felt like he was meeting real celebrities!

Nana brought out the cups so the boys could have a cup stacking/unstacking contest. It didn't end well when Ethan proved to be faster than Caleb. But...they had fun for a little while. :-)

Caleb and his pal Maddie decorating the gumball tree.

Caleb thought him and Lexie were pretty funny in their "thug life" hoodies. She was not amused. ;-)

"Snow" Day

The kids were SO excited when it finally started snowing! Unfortunantly, it didn't snow much and it didn't last very long. But...they enjoyed "playing" in it as much as they could. Caleb was extra excited! It's the little things. :-)

Playing with the snow after school. As soon as I picked him up he wanted to jump right back out of the car and throw snowballs!

Lucky for him I happened to have a hat in the car.

Caleb waited for Ethan to come out of school so he could hit him with a snowball.

Lexie wasn't impressed. She did her business and ran back inside.

Snow brothers. :-)

What a tough life. Warming his feet by the fire after a day of playing outside in the cold.
