Here he is sitting up slightly supported.
If you can't tell what that says it's "If you think I'm cute you should see my Dad!"
My tiny little Caleb is growing up so fast. It seems like he has changed so much just in this last month. He is a lot less crabby and will actually go to someone other than mommy and daddy which is nice. He laughs a lot, especially at his big brother. Ethan can always get a laugh out of him. Caleb is so busy lately. He can roll tummy to back and his new trick is back to tummy. He almost immediately rolls from back to tummy when you lay him down. I definitely can't leave him for one second anymore. Here's a little story about that: The other day Ethan was outside playing in his new swimming pool. Caleb was getting fussy so I took him inside, wrapped him up, gave him his paci, and put him in the swing. I went back out to check on Ethan then came in to get the phone. In that 30-45 second time frame, Caleb had completely unwrapped himself, flipped over on his tummy, and was hanging half out of the swing screaming. Needless to say, there is no picture of that. I sprinted over and rescued him...and quickly moved the swing to the closet. It does have a seatbelt in it but he rarely sits in it anymore and when he does he wants to sit straight up but the swing is tilted too far back to do that. So, it's gone. Now to the sitting up. He wants to...bad. He can sit unsupported for about 2-3 seconds before he topples over but he can sit supporting himself with his hands for a couple of minutes. I'm pretty impressed. Ethan didn't sit up until he was 6.5 months old. But, we can't compare the two kiddos because we all know that Ethan did everything in his own sweet time (ex: walking at 18 months!!!) I bet Caleb will be the one crawling out of his crib when he hits a year old...or before. When I go in to feed him at 5 or 5:30 he is usually unwrapped wedged in a corner or on his tummy looking at his mobile.
He has mastered flipping over in his crib.
Look at the big drop of spit on his chin. He is constantly drooling. We have to keep a bib on him or he will be drenched!
He is now eating almost all fruits and veggies. He seems to like the veggies more than the fruit...he surely didn't get that from me! He has a raging appetite. When he is super hungry and I'm walking to the couch with him and the bottle, he will lean over and start sucking on the bottle while it's still upright before I can even sit down. He doesn't have any patience.
It's carrot boy! This was the first time he had carrots and he loved them!
He kept holding on to my hand with the spoon in it and was helping to shovel it in his mouth.
So sad...no more carrots.
He is finally sleeping better. He goes to bed around 8:30pm then wakes up around 5 or 6am to eat a bottle, then it's back to sleep till 7:30 or 8am. Sometimes he doesn't want to go back to sleep in his bed and he ends up in mine because I'm too tired to fight him. But most of the time he's in his own bed. I don't sleep well with him in my bed and Ethan wakes him up when he comes in around 7am.
