We're back from the Dr. After two hours and labs, we still don't know what is wrong with him. The CBC shows that his body is trying to fight off something but it doesn't appear to be bacterial so there aren't antibiotics for it. She drew 4 tubes of blood for different viral cultures that won't be back until Friday at the earliest. He did well with the blood draws. As soon as he saw the needle he pointed to his bruised hand and said "Is she gonna do this?" (meaning an IV). I told him no but that she was going to take some blood from his arm. He whimpered and stuck out his lip but never cried. He just stared at the needle and kept saying "take that thing out!" After it was done he was happy with his grape sucker and 3 Spiderman stickers. He fell asleep by the end of the appointment which made me wonder if his fever was back...it is. Now we are home and he has 102.7 and I practically had to pour the Motrin down his throat because he is so tired of taking it. So now, we wait impatiently......
He did say something funny on the way to the Dr. He said "Are they gonna take a picture of my tummy again? It doesn't hurt and it's not scary like a dinosaur or a lion." Too cute.
