On Ethan's birthday I had his presents laid out for him when he got home from school. We got him a Spiderman scooter, Leapster case, and a Penguin action figure to go with his Batman cave. He was so excited about the scooter! He had been asking for one for months. I was trying to decide between the three wheel or two wheel scooter. I thought the two wheel one would just frustrate him and then he wouldn't want to ride it so I went with the three wheel. I guess Mommy didn't pay attention to the age and weight limit on the scooter. It was for 3 years and up to 40 pounds. He looked like a giant on it but loved it anyway. But...within five minutes it was broken. He was riding it out of the garage and suddenly he fell with both knees on the ground. The back of the footboard broke completly off. He handled it a lot better than I thought he would. We ended up taking it back that night and got him the two wheel one. He still loves it and rides it everyday...in the house.

Giant 5 year old vs. tiny scooter.
New razor, two wheel scooter. Much better. Unfortunantly it was really cold (and has been since we bought it) so he rode it in the garage that night. It has actually turned into a new fun thing to do. We move the cars outside and close the garage...tada!...a new place to play! Ethan rides his scooter and Caleb "rides" the tricycle. It's great!

Yummy mayonaise cake that Ethan helped decorate.

My parents called to wish him a happy birthday and Caleb moved in on the cake. He couldn't wait to eat some "cake cake"!

He must be making a big wish...look at that concentration on those candles!

He was too fast for an action shot of him blowing out the candles.

Little Caleb finally got some "cake cake."
