Ethan's 9th Birthday

My first tiny baby turned 9 on January 26.  I say it every year but I can't believe how old he is getting!  It seems like yesterday that I saw that positive test and here he is almost in double digits!  My little Ethan-poo, you are so smart and funny and want to be grown up so bad.  You wonder who your wife will be, when you'll get married, and where you will live.  I tell you all the time to enjoy being young and care free!  You'll understanding that when you're an adult. ;-)  As of today, you either want to be an "army guy" or a police officier with a german shephard.

He requested a "military" cake.  I found this Lego set and decided to but it on the cake and it would also be his present.  But I underestimated how long it would take me to put together...it took THREE HOURS to assemble that thing!  It doesn't look like that many pieces but I assure you it has cabillion!

He had a slumber party with a few friends.  There were only a few boys but it was wild!  I told him maybe next year he can pick ONE friend to take to dinner and have spend the night!  The boys were: Colton, Will, Brock, Tyler, and Jacob.

And let's not forget a friend for Caleb!  His buddy Carson (Colton's little brother) stayed the night too!  Yes, I'm crazy!

Opening presents.

Playing with the presents.

I let Caleb and Carson play as much Wii as they wanted to keep them separated from the big boys. :-)
