Destin 2017

Oh how we love going to Destin, Florida!! Every year we say we need to branch out and go somewhere new but we just love it so much!! We finally found a condo that we love so now we don't even have to worry about where we will stay.

We used to drive about 9 hours, stay overnight somewhere, then drive the remaining 3 hours the next day. Now that the boys are older (and live on technology) we just drive the whole 12 hours. It's really not too bad.

It's exciting to finally see the water and some white sandy beaches!

We met some people from California last summer and they came again this summer. Turns out, they come around the same time every year and stay in the same place! We had an instant connection and our kids enjoyed hanging out together even though they have a big age difference. This little one love her some Ethan. ;-)

He adopted her as his little sister. She is 4, she's just tiny!

We eat at Margaritaville every year. The food is pretty good but it's really the vibe that we like. Fun, beachy place.

Our lifelong friends (who are now our neighbors) also went to Destin at the same time! They stayed about 20 minutes down the road. They came to our beach one day and spent the day with us.

We walked up the beach to a place called The Back Porch. It was a fun beachy place where you didn't even have to have a shirt or shoes!

On our last night in Destin we really wanted to yummy fish. We tried a place called Brotula's and it was DELISH!

This was the back of the restaurant. You could walk out to the docks and down to a little beach area with games and hammocks.

We will definitely go back there next year!

This is my California friend Heather. Love her!! They are toying with moving to Texas. We shall see!
