Hollywood Part 2

We loved Hollywood Studios so much that we went twice during our trip!  Here are the pics from the second go round...
Doing a little shopping.  This trophy said "world's greatest grandpa" so they wanted me to take a picture of it and send it to Papa.  :-)

Wearing Mickey's sorcerer hat.

Waiting to meet Buzz and Woody.  There were lots of fun cut outs for photo ops while waiting in line.

Finally!  They got to meet Buzz and Woody and get their autographs.

Right after they hugged them goodbye Caleb started to silently cry and look embarassed.  When we got outside and asked him what happened I noticed his eye.  And I just so happened to get a picture of the moment of impact...see Caleb's face and Buzz's chin?

Yep, Buzz's chin smacked him right on the eye.  Poor baby.  See the swelling?  It was like that for a few hours then it was fine.

We rode "The Great Movie Ride" for the first time.  It was pretty cool!  It was a little boat type ride like the cave ride at 6 Flags.  It was pretty long and took us through several different movies...like Marry Poppins here....
...And The Wizard of Oz here.  It was a cool ride!

Also new for us this year was getting to sit in on American Idol!  They had the stage and 3 judges just like the real show.  It was a real audition from people who signed up previously during the day to come in and sing.  And the winner got a "golden ticket" to go to the front of the line at a real American Idol audition!  Pretty cool!
We even came back later in the day and saw the finale and voted for who we wanted to win.  And the guy from our audition earlier in the day won the golden ticket!  Unfortunantly, he didn't make it onto the real show.  I checked.  ;-)

Two years ago when we went to Disney, the boys weren't interested in the Jedi training so we didn't sign them up to do it this time.  Then we got in trouble.  They both wanted to do it but it was too late to sign up.  You have to do it as soon as the park opens or there won't be any spots left.  Oops...maybe next time!  It is pretty cool!
Posing on a Star Wars flying thing....(I don't know what it's called.)

We saw the stunt show for the first time.  It was pretty cool!  Those drivers are amazing and totally look like they're going to crash into each other!!

We had to return to Honey I Shrunk the Kids to play.  They boys love that place!

They were sweaty messes by the time we left!

We did the Backlot Tour for the first time also.  It was really cool!  It shows how a lot of special effects are done.  We were in a tram type car riding all around behind the scenes.  We rode slowly by this giant tank....

...then it exploded and caused a flood!  It looked like all of that water was headed right for us...then it went under us.  Whew!  It was exciting!

After the tour was over it dropped us off at a museum of movie stuff.  It was pretty cool!

We told the kids they could pick one thing to buy and Ethan begged for Stitch from Lilo and Stitch (which I think he's seen once).  I tried to talk him out of it but his mind was made up.  Well...he won that round because 6 months later he still sleeps with him every night!

That night we went into the town portion of Holleywood and the lights were amazing!  Of course it was a little strange that it was about 80 degrees and we were looking at Christmas lights but it was still cool!

Family photo under the lights!  We love Hollywood Studios!

Hollywood Studios

Oh Hollywood Studios...such a toss up on which park is our favorite between this one and Magic Kingdom.  There is so much to see and do at this park for our boys!

This doesn't have anything to do with anything.  They posed themselves with this cutout as soon as we walked in.

We all know where this army guy is from...Toy Story!

They LOVE this Indiana Jones stunt show.  Even though it's the exact same show we saw two years ago (that we saw twice then) they were glued to it and wanted to see it again.  It was pretty exciting!

There are 3 or 4 different "scenes" that they "shoot" and explain how they do the stunts after.  Pretty cool.

And of course we had to eat at Pizza Planet.  Not the best pizza we've ever had but they were super excited to eat there!

We saw the Muppets in 3D.  This was the waiting area before you go into the theater.  Most lines for rides/shows have waiting areas with entertainment so it doesn't feel like you're waiting so long.

I snapped one quick pic before the lights went out.  Those are the grumpy old men muppets up in the balcony.

Phineas and Ferb.

Cars.  No, they didn't move or talk...kind of lame-o.

Making a wish.

It was so hard to get a good picture of the Honey I Shrunk the Kids play area because everything was so huge!  The kids would've stayed here all day if we would've let them.

Waiting in line to ride Toy Story Mania...our favorite ride at this park.  So fun!!

It's like waiting in Andy's toy box.

The Mr. Potato Head in the background talks and moves around.
You sit in these cars and they ride along on a track and you shoot at big screens to earn points.  It's kind of hard to describe.  But all you need to know is I'm good at it.  And I'm undefeated.  Yep, Mondo hasn't beat me yet.  ;-)

Caleb and Mommy are awesome at Toy Story Mania.  ;-)

Just doing some hula hooping.

We were SUPER excited to meet the Wreck it Ralph characters!

The last time we went to Disney, Caleb wasn't big enough to ride the Tower of Terror so him and Mondo sat it out and I rode with Ethan.  He was finally big enough so we were all 4 going to ride it together.  We asked him numerous times if he wanted to and he always said yes.  Once we got to the top and were about to load I started to get nervous and thought it probably wasn't the best idea and told him he could back out and he said no.  Well...a few seconds into the ride he wanted off but it was too late.  It's basically a creepy elevator ride through hallways of an old spooky, ghostfilled hotel.  But I forgot how dark it was and that freaked him out.  Then it finally opens to the outside...and drops you to the ground....then you fly back up, then drop back down...you get the idea.  He didn't like that.  He never cried.  But he HATED it.  He has told us, repeatedly, "I DO NEVER want to ride that again.  EVER!"  Ok.  Got it.  Our bad.  I think he might be scarred for life.  And he said it wasn't the darkness or the ghosts.  He said it was the way it made his stomach feel when it dropped.  Huh?!

We saw Fantasmic for the first time this year.  It was AMAZING!!  Look at that sea of people who went to see it!

Caleb had his popcorn.  He was ready!

Pictures don't even do it justice.  It had lights, music, characters, and fireworks.  It was greatness!
