Ethan's 5th Grade Field Trip

For Ethan's 5th grade field trip, we went to the Perot Museum! I was excited to go because we had never been there before. I was in charge of a group of 7 kids (including Ethan). Yikes! Luckily it went much better than his 1st grade field trip the museum. That was a nightmare! For this field trip, we walked around for about an hour and a half then had lunch outside...then it was time to go back to school. Easy enough!

Here's my group of rascals.

There was a sound booth where kids could play a few instruments.

I had to peel them away from this area. Remote control cars. Enough said.

This was pretty funny. This was supposed to be informative about the different areas of your body that put off heat. But they ended up just watching themselves dance. ;-)

Ethan's teacher and some friends.

You can't tell from this pic...but they were on a platform that was shaking like an earthquake. There was a lot of screaming....

This was another area where they chose to dance and be silly instead of act like weathermen like they were supposed to. ;-)

The dino exhibit is always a hit.

This was really cool. You stand in front of the tv screen and act like you're flying like a bird. There is a forest on the screen and depending on the way you move the screen shifts around.

Selfie time!

Everywhere he touched would light up. Pretty cool.

Another field trip in the books for Ethan and momma! :-)

Random Pics

Ready for some play time after an early release day!

A little Bahama Bucks after some tennis and golf time.

Playing some golf with his buddy Colton.

Caleb loves him some chips and salsa from Chili's!

A little park time with momma.

I didn't even realize the Batman/Superman shirts until I took their pic.

Such a goober.

We had a little confetti egg fight.

Caleb's new "swag" hat as he calls it.

Mondo and I saw this sign and couldn't resist getting it for Caleb and his potty humor. He thought it was HILARIOUS! He hung it on his bedroom door. ;-)

Ethan at Solo and Ensemble. He got 1st place!

Looking sharp for church.

New golf clubs!

Getting ready to see a movie and have some dinner!

Caleb found a new passion...rock climbing!

He was a sweaty mess!

Caleb's Field Trip

Caleb was super pumped for his second grade field trip! We went to the Planetarium at UTA and then to the park for lunch and play time! It is definitely one of my favorite field trips...nice and easy and no chasing kids around. ;-)

All ready for the bus ride!  (Freaks momma out!)

Ready to learn about some planets!

You can't tell but he was sweating like crazy after playing in the park. Poor guy.

Some of his school buds.

We went straight to Nana and Papa's house after school to jump in the pool!

LTC and Easter

Ethan had another great year at LTC (Leadership Training for Christ). He chose to do puppets, drama, signing for the deaf, and chorus. All of the kids did a great job! And I can't believe next year Caleb will be old enough to do it!

We took a break from the hotel and had dinner at Chili's.

Getting ready to do his first event!

His puppet. So funny! He was very animated behind the curtain.

I LOVE to watch him do sign language! This year he had to learn 3 different songs and a Bible verse. When he walked up to sign he had to pick a piece of paper that told him which song he had to do. Well...poor guy picked the one song he didn't feel comfortable with. He was flustered and struggled through the beginning of it. Thankfully the judge stopped him and let him pick another song...which he did great at! I was so proud of him for not losing his cool and continuing on. :-)

After LTC was over on Saturday we went to our friend's house to play and relax. I love this picture of Caleb and Maddie. Those two are so goofy and play so well together.

LTC is always on Easter weekend. So the Easter bunny had to get ready for Sunday morning!

All dressed for Easter morning church!

We had Easter at my cousin Hilari's house this year. The weather was great and the kids had a good time hanging out together.

We don't have too many Easter egg hunters left in the family. They're all growing up! :-(

My Easter hunny. :-)

He searched and searched for the prize egg that sadly, he did not find.

A Day with Daddy

Mondo is such a good weekend dad! He tries to go find fun things to do with the boys when I'm working/sleeping. On this particular day he took them golfing and then to the Ft. Worth Water Gardens and Botanic Gardens to hang out and play. They boys loved it but the Mondo said it was a little freaky watching them jump around on the rocks at the water garden. ;-)
